| upon listening to CJ's message on sovereign grace and reading Tozer's Knowledge of the Holy, i had these thoughts... Christ offered Himself to the Father through the Spirit (Heb. 9:14) Every aspect of redemption involves the complete Trinity. God redeems sinners for Himself. God worked the ressurection. God is completing our sanctification. It would seem that God's central work within the realm of humanity is redemption. If the act of redeeming sinners is truly God's ultimate work concerning humanity, the entirety of the Godhead must have been involved. To leave out one member would be to separate the Unity of the inseparable Trinity.
Sovereign Grace = a Faith/Responsibility = b Salvation = x a + b = x a > b a does not equal b a does not equal x b does not equal x {when i find myself in the face of a logical difficulty, i have a choice: take the easy road and doubt the validity of doctrine in question while trusting the understanding of my own mind; or take the lowly road. i could decide to let the Secret Things bring me, not to doubt, but to adoration.} ...i hope i didn't utter heresy or anything. |
